Giving Hope to the Hopeless

In 2019, thirteen (13) impoverished girls from More Than Me Academy moved to the Ricks Institute thanks to Jewel Starfish Foundation. These eleven girls whose names are Arkiesha Winnie Koffa, Tenneh Princess Kiadii, Princess Wleh, Elizabeth Kota, Precious Baffoe, Joetta James, Jestina Wesseh, Cecelia B. Freman, Joanna Mabee Brown, Joan Neufville, Henrietta S. Gbollie, Hawa Fanhnbulleh and Naomi Kambor are all from one of Monrovia worst slums, commonly called Westpoint.

Moreover, More Than Me is a Liberian NGO that had more glorious days in the past before a scandalous incident which nearly led to their closure. Katie Myler, Founder of More Than Me Academy, had a dream which was that all her girls would graduate and move to institutes that had high standards of education. Her Excellency Chief Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor, Founder of Jewel Starfish Foundation commonly called JSF, used her influence to gather funds to enable the said 13 girls to be admitted at the prestigious Ricks Institute.

Thank you Her Excellency Chief Dr. Jewel Howard Taylor for helping our girls!
